WATCH: This woman’s story on the Late Late Show is incredibly moving

Who the hell is chopping onions?

Kathy Shine won a €20,000 Renault Captur in a competition on the Late Late Show last week after her name was pulled randomly out of a drum on air.

She then went to RTÉ studios with the intention of giving Ryan Tubridy a card in thanks for the wonderful prize, but when she met him outside the RTÉ canteen, she told him her remarkable story.

On the night she won the car, she was praying that she’d be the winner, not because she wanted the car for herself, but for her brother Mike who has Multiple Sclerosis.

Mike uses a wheelchair and his wife Joan recently quit her job to look after him full-time at their home in Galway.

His current van is now unfit for his needs and Kathy had intended to sell the new €20,000 car to pay for a new van for Mike.

In a lovely gesture on the Late Late Show last night, Renault announced they are going to give them an extra €5,000 to help the kit out the new car to make it suitable for Mike.

Have a look at the lovely video below…
