Chalk this one down on the Christmas wish-list, yo.
Fans of Breaking Bad who watch the show religiously (and yapper on about to anyone who will listen… and some who won’t) will tell you that it is no ordinary TV show, so when the complete box-set is eventually released, it is only fitting that it should be different from the standard offerings that fill the shelves of many stores in the run-up to Christmas.
Thankfully then, the plans for the complete Breaking Bad Blu-ray set look very cool indeed.
Not only will it contain 16 discs featuring every episode from the show’s five seasons and a whole host of special features, the set will also come with loads of commemorative memorabilia that relate to certain incidents and themes in the show, including our personal favourite, an apron from the Los Pollos Hermanos restaurant.
If that wasn’t brilliant, all of the above will be contained in a brilliant Breaking Bad Blu-ray barrel and while people who have never seen the show and receive this as a gift won’t appreciate the significance of the barrel at first, they’ll appreciate it even more when they do.
The Blu-ray barrel is due for release in the US in time for Thanksgiving and while no date has been confirmed for the UK and/or Ireland just yet, we would assume (and hope, and pray) that it will be available in this neck of the woods in time for Christmas.
That, of course, will enable Breaking Bad fans to say ‘Blu-Ray me bitch’ when their better halves are looking for hints for what to put under the Christmas tree.
