According to the BBC, the actor Bob Hoskins has died of pneumonia at the age of 71. The English actor, famous for playing a series of cockneys, gangsters and cockney gangsters had retired from acting in 2012 after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
Nominated for a best actor Oscar in 1987 for crime drama Mona Lisa, Hoskins, for JOE readers at least, was perhaps best known as Italian plumber Mario in the ill-fated Super Mario Bros. (1993)…
