Wonder Woman 1984 trailer

Pedro Pascal is going to steal this movie.

What do Gal Gadot, Pedro Pascal and New Order have in common?

They’re all lighting up the brand new trailer for Wonder Woman 1984, which gives us our first look at the forthcoming sequel.

Pascal, famous for getting his head caved in as Prince Oberyn in Game of Thrones and most recently chilling out with Baby Yoda in The Mandalorian, looks like a safe bet to steal every scene he’s in here as oily businessman Maxwell Lord.

What’s more, the ’80s setting appears to be giving the entire cast – including a returning Chris Pine and newcomer Kristin Wiig – plenty of opportunity to have fun.

At the centre of it all is, of course, Gal Gadot, who proved perfect casting as Wonder Woman, helping her first solo crack of the whip to over $820 million at the box office in 2017.

Throw in a terrific New Order song and we’re sold.

Wonder Woman 1984, which sees Patty Jenkins back in the director’s chair, arrives on 5 June, 2020.
