You Can See Everything, the new three-hour documentary about Elizabeth Holmes, is now the highest-rated movie of all time.
The doc sees the notorious Silicon Valley founder invite filmmakers Lance Oppenheim (Primetime) and Nathan Fielder (The Rehearsal) to capture her every move. This is during the 34 days before she is sent to prison to serve her 11-year sentence for fraud.
"What begins as an intimate portrait of an enigmatic felon becomes a mind-bending three-year journey into the abyss," the plot synopsis adds.
You Can See Everything was released in US cinemas last weekend. It broke box-office records and earned rave reviews.
Particularly praised for Fielder's onscreen presence, its experimentation with the documentary form, and its rich themes, the film currently holds a near-perfect 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Some critics have even said it could be an Oscar Best Picture contender.
Also, though the doc won't be out in Irish and UK cinemas until 20 November, certain screenings are already selling out this side of the Atlantic.
Further adding to the buzz surrounding You Can See Everything is its whopping 9.4 score on IMDb. This means it ranks higher on the movie rating website than The Shawshank Redemption (9.3), The Godfather (9.2), and The Dark Knight (9.1).
We'd take this news with a pinch of salt, however. The Shawshank Redemption has 3.3 million ratings on IMDb, while You Can See Everything has only 8,200. The score could fall as more viewers see the film and rate it on the website.
Even so, it's another very impressive achievement for Fielder and Oppenheim's film. You can read a sample of the glowing reactions to the documentary below:
You Can See Everything lands in Irish and UK cinemas on 20 November. US viewers can watch it in theatres now.
