Here’s who THAT person in the final scene of You could be

You Season 2 ending

Season 2 of You has now come and gone, but fans have one question on their minds.

Consider this your spoiler warning for the second season of You, folks.

If you’ve not seen it all, get out of here. For your sake. Come on.

Right. So.

As you know, the last few minutes of Season 2 of You perfectly summed up just how bizarre the show is.

Joe (Will) and Love manage to get away with all of their horrific crimes, and have upped and moved themselves to the suburbs.

With a baby on the way, things are about to get even messier for the happy (?) couple. And it doesn’t end there.

Just as the season was about to draw to a close, Joe once again becomes infatuated by a woman in the garden next door. He creeps up and peers at her through a gap in the fence, confirming that the cycle will continue.

But who is this woman? There’s a few options.

Firstly, we’ll go with the option we want it to be – Joe’s mother. This season spent absolutely ages developing the relationship Joe has/had with his parents, and does a really clever way of showing that she is in fact the person that he ever “saves”, which is probably the reason why he is so protective today.

As far as we know she is still alive, and given the fact that we have already seen Joe romantically involved with a number of women already, going down this route for Season 3 would be a really smart idea.

Then we’ve got the possibility of it being Beck. We never really saw her die, and she did appear in Joe’s mind throughout the season. Maybe he never really got over her, and it would be cool to see her get justice.

Plus, she likes books…

Then we’ve got the possibility of it being Doctor Nicky’s wife. There’s no real reason why it would be her, aside from the fact that we’re sure we haven’t seen the last of the Doctor Nicky storyline. It could make for an interesting plot. Plus, she seems to be wearing a wedding ring…

Finally, it might be a brand new character that Joe will fall for, once again highlighting that he will never be satisfied unless he’s trying to “save” someone.

Time will tell. Bring on Season 3
