Our TV movie pick for tonight (Sunday, 8 March) is Zero Dark Thirty, the 2012 award-winning tense real-life CIA thriller.
The film Zero Dark Thirty stars Jessica Chastain as Maya, a focused CIA analyst who dedicates her career to finding Osama bin Laden after the September 11 attacks.
Working for the Central Intelligence Agency, she spends years following small clues gathered from interrogations, surveillance operations and intelligence reports in an effort to track down the elusive terrorist leader.
Over time, Maya becomes convinced she has uncovered a crucial lead that could finally reveal bin Laden’s whereabouts.
Even as colleagues question her conclusions and pressure mounts from higher-ups, she continues pushing her theory. Her investigation eventually points U.S. forces toward a suspicious compound in Abbottabad.
