Superman: Man of Steel gets positive reviews at test screenings

Superman: Man of Steel is due to be a winner according to test screen audiences

Zack Snyder’s Superman revival, Man of Steel is being well received in test screenings so far, according to the movie website screenrant.com. There were worries that the Superman movie would be too dark and contemplative, but the initial consensus is positive so far. The movie is directed by Watchmen and 300’s Zack Snyder and produced by The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan.

Russell Crowe, who plays Superman’s biological dad Jor-El, has been maintaining that the trailers released don't do the movie justice while Henry Cavill (Superman/ Clark Kent) says its more action-packed than dark. This should put fans at ease in advance of the movies release on June 14.

Movie website JoBlo detailed the views of one trusted blogger who went to the test screening; “Imagine a Nolan story with Snyder effects/action... it's the best movie of the year.”

The source went on to say there is “TONS of action with Superman kicking all kinds of ass in his suit and it's not nearly as dour and serious as the trailers suggest.”

The source also said that a lot of what features in the trailers has been left out of the finished film, in order to “save it.” We’ve all gone to movies where all the best bits are featured in the trailer, and you feel that you’ve already seen it before the movie starts so this is good news.

Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, Antje Traue, Laurence Fishburne and Ayelet Zurer.
