It takes place in Highfield Golf Club in Kildare this Saturday…

Every time JOE comes home from a music festival, we think “we’d love to set up our own festival” but then we snap out of it and return to the reality of our riveting life (eating ice-cream and watching Netflix).

A transition year student in Kildare named Faye Duggan had the same idea as us but Faye actually followed through and has gone and organised a music festival.

Cabin Fever takes place this Saturday in Highfield Golf Club in Carbury, it will feature six bands over nine hours and the line-up is pretty great. Big September, Hogan and Red Empire are the headline acts while Ruaile Buaile, Jemson Green and V3 will also play…

We think Faye is an absolute legend for setting this up and she’s put a lot of work in as she’s spent the last five months researching the music industry and putting it together.

Faye says: “I absolutely love music of all genres from classic rock to rap and I particularly like Irish Bands. Cabin Fever is a one day event taking place on Saturday July 5th, I am particularly excited about hosting it in the Midlands, it is nice to see music events outside the big cities.”

There is food stalls, a full bar (ID required) and much more and gates open at 2pm.  Tickets for the event cost €25 or €35 for VIP area.

For more information check out the Cabin Fever Facebook page.
