An album of home recordings from the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain is to be released in the summer…
Cobain is the enduring enigma of late twentieth-century rock ‘n’ roll, and remains a hero for many over 20 years after his death.
The director of Montage of Heck, a new documentary about the singer’s life, has announced plans of releasing a record of solo recordings.
“[The album] will feel like you’re kind of hanging out with Kurt Cobain on a hot summer day in Olympia, Washington as he fiddles about,” said director Brett Morgen.
“Just to be clear, it’s not a Nirvana album, it’s just Kurt and you’re going to hear him do things you never expected to come out of him,” continued Morgen.
