That’s right. Arcade Fire. In Whelan’s. Of a school night.

As if performing to the masses in Malahide Castle wasn’t enough, one of the biggest bands in the world decided to deliver a special treat to a select group of Irish fans on Wednesday night. After thanking fans for what seemed like a cracking show out in Malahide, Win Butler announced on Twitter that there would be a dance party in Whelan’s afterwards, with Whelan’s manager teasing something similar around the same time on Wednesday night. https://twitter.com/dwallen67/status/875114929044500482 https://twitter.com/DJWindows98/status/875114469835366400 Naturally enough, the crowds flocked to the Wexford Street venue and judging by the social media posts of those in attendance, the band were still in flying form in a more intimate setting in the wee small hours. You can see some of the performance via the link to the Whelan's Facebook page in the tweet below. https://twitter.com/whelanslive/status/875134212088659969 https://twitter.com/kevjclarke/status/875135050462920704 https://twitter.com/AlisonSpittle/status/875143222447804417 https://twitter.com/grainnebiddle/status/875133207779397633 https://www.instagram.com/p/BVVzo5KjJ_x/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BVV4a3WD2CA/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BVVvHOVD7r2/?taken-at=227443508 Anytime Arcade Fire perform in Dublin turns out to be something memorable and last night was certainly no different.
