Love her or hate her, ‘212’ is still a banger.

Professional fight-picker and occasional song-releaser Azealia Banks has announced that she will be performing a headline gig in Dublin in early 2019.

On the one hand, her now notorious comments about and fights with the likes of Lana Del Rey, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Pharrell Williams, Zayn Malik, T.I., Busta Rhymes, Iggy Azalea, Rihanna, Lil’ Kim, Rita Ora, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem and more besides make it more and more difficult to enjoy the music.

On the other hand, her debut (and to date, only) album Broke With Expensive Taste is one of the most underrated hip-hop albums of the decade (don’t @ me actually @ me all you want, because it is the truth), and some of her singles – ‘Anna Wintour’, ‘Liquorice’, ‘ATM Jam’, ‘Heavy Metal and Reflective’, ‘Van Vogue’, etc. – continue to slap to this day.

Banks will be performing in The Academy in Dublin on Tuesday 22 January 2019, with tickets going on sale on Monday 19 November from Ticketmaster and the usual outlets.
