Barack Obama’s Spotify playlists reveal a very decent taste in music

Classic tunes

JOE

Ever wonder what the President of the United States listens to in his spare time?

Well you are not alone.

Barack Obama was recently asked to elaborate upon his musical tastes and did so by sharing his Spotify playlists with the world.

The list is, not very surprisingly, quite sophisticated and cultured, including modern and old-school tunes with enough variation to have something that most people will recognise and appreciate.

By day, President Obama listens to Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, John Legend and Justin Timberlake.

By night  the president relaxes with some Beyonce, Al Green, Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone, Mary J Blige and Ireland’s own Van Morrison.

A man of distingushed tastes if we do say so ourselves.
