The Frightened Rabbit frontman went missing earlier this week in Scotland.
Police in Scotland have confirmed that the body found at a marina on the banks of the Firth of Forth is that of Scott Hutchison, following a formal investigation.
The discovery was made at Port Edgar, between the Forth Road Bridge and Queensferry Crossing, at about 20:30 on Thursday.
The 36-year-old was last seen in the Dakota Hotel in South Queensferry, before he left the accommodation at 1am on Wednesday morning.
Concern for the frontman’s whereabouts grew after he tweeted a series of tweet, posting about his life in the past-tense before writing ‘I’m away now. Thanks.’ on Tuesday night.
Be so good to everyone you love. It’s not a given. I’m so annoyed that it’s not. I didn’t live by that standard and it kills me. Please, hug your loved ones.

No official cause of death was given.
His family said there had been recent concerns about his mental health, and they were “devastated” by his death.
Hutchison spoke openly about his battle with depression over the years. His family said that the Frightened Rabbit frontman had “battled bravely with his own issues” for many years.
Tributes to the singer have been pouring in on social media ever since the news of Hutchison’s passing was confirmed on Friday afternoon.
We are devastated to hear the news about our friend Scott Hutchison this morning. Sending all our love to his family, friends and band mates in frightened rabbit. Xxx
