Dermot Kennedy

This is bound to be very, very popular.

2019 has been some year for Dermot Kennedy as his debut album, Without Fear, rocketed to the top of the Irish and UK charts. To make things even sweeter, the likeable singer has gone stratospheric with audiences around the world coming out to see his shows.

Fans of Kennedy’s at home will be excited to learn that the man from Rathcoole will be performing at a one-off gig in the Aloft Hotel in the Liberties in Dublin on Wednesday, 20 November, the first gig in the ‘Live At The Aloft Hotels Homecoming Tour’ in association with Universal Music.

The series of gigs is described as “a special tour thanking the fans for helping to launch the careers of some of today’s most talked-about artists”.

Unfortunately, only a limited number of tickets will be released on Monday 18 November and you can get them here.

Doors open at 6pm with the gig lasting until 10pm. It’s worth noting that capacity is limited and an RSVP does not guarantee entry. Attendance will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Kennedy, of course recently chatted to JOE’s Dion Fanning on Ireland Unfiltered, opening up about his journey from busking on Grafton Street to playing headline arena gigs and the help he had along the way. Kennedy also discussed how he cultivated a loyal fanbase through his lyrics and the creative process behind his debut album.

If you’re a Kennedy fan, the interview is definitely worth checking out in full below.
