A must watch for fans of The Boss.

With gigs and concerts among the many things currently on hiatus due to the Covid-19 emergency and no sign of their return any time soon, many musicians and entertainers are turning to virtual channels in an effort to entertain fans staying at home.

There are few better at entertaining the masses than Bruce Springsteen and while his next gig might not compare to his legendary live performances that tend to last for up to four hours and more, it will come as a very welcome distraction indeed.

The Boss is one of a host of well-known names who will feature in JERSEY 4 JERSEY, a one-night broadcast fundraiser to fight the medical, social and economic impact of Covid-19 on the most vulnerable communities in New Jersey, Springsteen’s home state.

Joining Springsteen on the bill for the fundraiser are some of New Jersey’s biggest champions and celebrities, including Tony Bennett, Jon Bon Jovi, Danny DeVito, Whoopi Goldberg, Jon Stewart and SZA.

Jersey 4 Jersey will be broadcast at 7pm EST on Wednesday, April 22 (midnight on Wednesday, Irish time) on Apple Music and AppleTV apps worldwide.

It will also be broadcast live and rebroadcast five times on E Street Radio on SiriusXM, currently free on the SiriusXM app. Fans can join the conversation on social media using the hashtag #jersey4jersey.

The event will raise funds for the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund (NJPRF) and will honour those on New Jersey’s front lines, including healthcare workers, first responders and other essential employees. It will also remind all those tuning in about how they can help stop the spread of Covid-19.

“New Jersey is on the front lines of this pandemic, making it more important than ever for us to do what Jersey does best – take care of one another,” said New Jersey First Lady Tammy Murphy.

“That’s why we’re asking everyone in our state to join the NJPRF and some of New Jersey’s finest for some much-needed musical entertainment, levity and Jersey Pride during these unprecedented times.”
