Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak join forces for new joint album

The two have joined forces in a group called Silk Sonic.

Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have announced a new joint project called Silk Sonic.

The talented duo have made a whole album together, featuring Parliament Funkadelic bassist and funk star Bootsy Collins as a “special guest host”, according to a tweet posted by Mars.

The first single off the exciting project will arrive on Friday 5 March, with the rest of the record arriving later. No official release date has been confirmed yet.

While the man born Brandon Paak Anderson may not have the plaudits and fanbase that Mars can boast, he is arguably equally as talented and should make for a magnificent partner for the incredible vocalist to work with.

He can rap, sing, play drums (often all at once), and has a funky sound that will go with Bruno Mars’ like butter on toast.

It’s still unclear whether his band The Free Nationals will be along for the ride, but we’re confident it will be a successful venture and fitting summer soundtrack either way.

Roll on 5 March.
