B*Witched to headline Throwback Stage at Electric Picnic

Electric Picnic

You might want to pack your double denim for this.

Anyone fortunate enough to be in ownership of an Electric Picnic ticket has just been given another reason to thank their lucky stars, as 90s Irish pop sensation B*Witched have been announced as the headline act for Electric Ireland’s Throwback Stage.

B*Witched, famous for such bangers as ‘C’est La Vie’, ‘C’est La Vie’ and also ‘C’est La Vie’, originally split in 2002 but have occasionally performed together since 2012.

Of course, it would be disingenuous to pretend as though the girl group doesn’t have other greats songs (‘Blame It On The Weatherman,’ ‘Rollercoaster,’ and ‘To You I Belong’ etc) but we are hoping for at least three performances of ‘C’est La Vie’ before the night is out.

Speaking on the announcement, B*witched said: “We are so excited to headline Electric Ireland’s Throwback Stage at Electric Picnic. It’s always brilliant to come back to Ireland and play to a home crowd.”

“We are really looking forward to breaking out the double denim and having the absolute craic. Rain or shine, it’s going to be an amazing day, and there’s more great acts to be announced. ‘C’est La Vie’ is like our baby so we’d love see it being brought back.”

B*Witched are the first act to be announced for this year’s Throwback Stage, but there will be more to come as the festival approaches.
