Chasing Abbey are very special indeed, and now the Tullamore-based band are set for worldwide domination after signing a global deal with Universal Music.
It marks the culmination of a remarkable few months for the young band, and comes just one year after they formed.
"The commercial success of 'That Good Thing' speaks for itself, but I think the real story here is that three lads from Tullamore formed a hip-hop band and got a global record deal with a major label within one year of forming, and a mere few months after releasing their debut track," Shane Gillen, who manages the band along with Greg O'Donoghue, tells JOE.

"It's a great success story in and of itself, I think. Each of the three guys is an accomplished musician, with each of them playing a number of instruments. Their vast knowledge of music has helped them form this contemporary pop sound, and I think that is going to really stand to them going forward. After all, I'm not sure I know any hip-hop/rap/pop group who uses an electric banjo in every song!"
