Tickets go on sale Wednesday 29 August.
Irish lyricist, musician and wordsmith Christy Moore will perform six shows in Dublin’s Vicar Street later this year.
The Kildare native returns with a new album – to a venue where he has performed almost 200 times – to give people a taste of nostalgia in the run-up to Christmas.
The new piece, entitled On The Road, is a collection of his most popular songs which span over several decades of entertaining. Moore has spent two years compiling the album, which contains 24 songs recorded at 17 venue – including three tracks from Vicar Street.
He will be performing tracks from the album on the 10, 11, 17 18 of December 2018 and 2 and 3 of January 2019.
Tickets – which go on sale from 9am on Wednesday 29 August – are priced between €40 and €50. They can be purchased online on Ticketmaster as well as all other usual outlets.
One of Ireland’s most compelling and inspirational musicians to date, Christy Moore boasts a universal fan base and still continues to entertain; cementing him as a true Irish icon.
His name hit headlines earlier in the year when he powerfully explained why he supported a Yes vote in the Eighth Amendment.
