The Comedy Stage at Electric Picnic is always one of the most popular locations during the music festival and this year will undoubtedly be wedged because there are some some great names on the billing.

As fresh as one can be having just walked 100 miles across England to raise money and awareness for the charity – Stand Up To Cancer, multi award winning, stand-up comedian, songwriter, musician, actor and animal welfare campaigner, Bill Bailey makes his Electric Picnic debut.

BlindBoy Boat Club and Mr Chrome, aka The Rubberbandits, will also be in Stradbally and they’re certain to be huge favourites due to their superb mix of surreal comedy with cutting edge social commentary.

Having just finished filming for the first series of the new Blind Date, Al Porter will also be appearing on stage.

You’ve surely heard of Foil Arms and Hogg? They’ve taken the country by storm over the past 18 months and are one of the most popular comedy groups in the country right now. Yes, you guessed it, they will also be in Stradbally.

The fruit of Irish comedic talent will also be on stage in the form of Jason Byrne, Neil Delamere and Eric Lalor.

Other acts that will be gracing the comedy stage include Phil Jupitius, Improv Allstars, Deirdre O’Kane, Dermot Whelan, Al Lubel, Abigoliah Schuman, Barry Murphy, Fred Cooke, Danny O’Brien, Eleanor Tiernan, John Colleary, Steve Bennett, Karl Spain,Totally Wired, Joanne McNally, Tom O’Mahony, Laura Byrne, Bernard Casey, Davey Reilly, Ryan Cullen, TPM and Paul Currie.

It will be MC’d by the peerless Andrew Stanley.
