Mark Hoppus has confirmed the exciting news…

Blink 182 fans can jump around for joy this evening as the band’s singer and bassist Mark Hoppus has confirmed that they’ll record a new album this year. Their last release was ‘Neighbourhoods’ back in 2011 and they were due to start on the new record early this year but it didn’t happen.

Hoppus spoke to RockFreaks.net about what’s happening at the moment.

“We are basically at the very beginning of the process. We were going to start recording at the beginning of this year, but there were some things happening in some of our personal lives that prevented us from getting in the studio, so now we are getting in the studio at the end of this year instead.

“We have the beginning of song ideas at this point, and we are really just excited to get into the studio and have an album out sooner rather than later.”

This is good news. This is a good day…
