Cult favourites Why? set to perform their best album in Dublin this year

Carl Kinsella

Why?

This will probably be one of the gigs of the year.

Why? have been coming to Ireland for years now, but newer fans of the band’s older work will have feared that they’d missed their opportunity to hear the classics live.

Irish fans of Why? will be overjoyed to hear that the band will be returning to Irish shores later this year — and not for any ordinary show.

This time around, the cult favourites from Cincinnati will be playing their classic album Alopecia in honour of the record’s tenth birthday. The album features a whole rake of amazing songs, such as ‘The Vowels Pt. 2,’ ‘These Few Presidents,’ ‘The Hollows,’ ‘Fatalist Palmistry.’

The band will play in Dublin’s Button Factory venue on September 17. Tickets go on sale Wednesday May 23 at 10am for €26 a pop.

Aiken Promotions confirmed the gig earlier today on Twitter.
