Damien Dempsey announces two-night stand at Vicar Street this Christmas

Dave Hanratty

Damien Dempsey Vicar Street

The perfect present for the balladeer lover in your life…

The living legend that is Damien Dempsey will take to the stage at Dublin’s hallowed Vicar Street this December for a pair of headline shows.

Having enjoyed a triumphant turn at the Iveagh Gardens in the summer, Dempsey will close off the year with two nights at Vicar Street on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 December.

Not a bad way to celebrate the festive season, right there.

This year marks the 18th anniversary of They Don’t Teach This Shit In School, Dempsey’s enduring and very much still relevant debut album.

Further good news for fans comes in the form of a brand new record that’s currently in the works.

As for those December gigs, tickets priced €32.50 including booking fee go on sale this Friday 7 September at 9am via Ticketmaster and usual outlets.
