Right now, things are looking pretty good for Dermot Kennedy.
Aside from registering Ireland’s fastest-selling album of 2019 so far, the singer’s debut record Without Fear also topped the UK charts.
In doing so, he became the first Irish artist in 20 years to achieve the feat.
Well, the news keeps on getting better because RTÉ will be showing Kennedy’s performances as part of the Other Voices sessions.
The show will feature an eclectic mix of performances from the singer that he belted out on Other Voices stages over the years.
OV first welcomed Kennedy to the stage in St. James’ Church in Dingle in 2017. It’s fair to say that he’s went on one hell of a journey since then!
The special will feature Kennedy’s performances from Dingle, his time as a special guest at the Other Voices stage at Electric Picnic 2019 and his most recent turn in Berlin this July.
Aside from hearing tunes like ‘Outnumbered’, Fight Like Apes and Le Galaxie vocalist MayKay will also be interviewing the Dubliner and speaking about his career to date.
The Other Voices Dermot Kennedy Special will air on RTÉ 2 at 11.30pm on Thursday 24 October.
Fans will not want to miss it.
