Think you've got what it takes to design a stage at the Body & Soul Festival?

MINI is offering a €10,000 bursary for the best design for their new installation.

Some people are born to create. A lot of the time it was obvious from an early age, whether it was from crayon masterpieces they drew on the walls as kids or an expertly designed piece of engineering.

Even so, none of it comes together without hard graft. There's no point in having these fantastic ideas in your head without the skills and knowledge to make them a reality.

We may well be a small country, but we're certainly not short of people able to create. MINI is putting out the call for someone to design a stage for the 10th edition of Body & Soul Festival, which takes place 21-23 June in Ballinlough Castle, Co. Westmeath.

If you think you have what it takes to design this year's MINI Talks Sessions stage, you could be rewarded with a phenomenal €10,000 bursary. That should be more than enough to make it a reality!

The competition is in celebration of MINI's iconic car turning 60 years old this year (it still looks pretty slick in fairness).

They're looking for something that looks impressive from all angles, and makes creative use of limited space. There will be a panel of three judges looking at all the entries, including Body & Soul's Head of Design Mary Pike, representatives from MINI, and Director of the Irish Architecture Foundation Nathalie Weadick.

Full terms and conditions, as well as more info on the competition, can be found here. As you'll see from the sketch below from 1959, making the most out of a small amount of space was key from the get-go. Be sure to keep that in mind when drawing up your design!

For more information on the brief and to enter, applicants need to submit designs via the following link: by Sunday, 14 April at 23:59.
