Ahead of the friendly between France and England in Paris, a band played a cover of the song in tribute to both the Manchester and London attacks.

It was a particularly moving moment, as the area surrounding the Stade de France was the site of part of the Paris attacks in November 2015. At the England – France friendly at Wembley Stadium that was less than a week after those attacks, English fans sang along with the French national anthem – so to see the French fans do the same was especially touching.
