The Drumshanbo baby from the Eurovision photo has been found

Call off the search.

So that’s who it is.

Earlier this week, Charlie McGettigan, who won the Eurovision in 1994, launched a search to find the person who was pictured with him during his homecoming celebration.

Posting a picture on Facebook of the two of them from 1994, Charlie said: “Could this be you? this photo was taken the day we came back to Drumshanbo after winning the Eurovision in 1994. I often wondered who the baby was. Could it be you?”

He has updated his followers to say that she has been found and her name is Sinéad Cornyn.

Charlie was able to get in touch with Sinéad through Facebook. Sinéad told Her.ie that she was around eight months old when the photo was taken and is now 23. Her dad grew up near Drumshanbo, in Ballinagler, which is why they attended the homecoming.

While she’s about to embark on a career in medicine she also has a huge interest in music, she’s one of the founding members of the Trinity Belles, an all-female acapella group from Trinity College.

They’re going to be performing at Electric Picnic this year.
