Chef Derry Clarke and his friends have announced the ‘Fine Dining Picnic’ for this year’s festival and it’s all in aid of the charity Console…

JOE is counting down the days until Electric Picnic 2014 and while the music is the main attraction, we cannot wait to get stuck into the food at the festival this year. It gets better year-on-year and we’re anticipating a quick trip back to our tent in the afternoon to recover from the food coma, we love food.

The dining experience for people heading to the festival this year has been taken to the next level after the announcement of the ‘Fine Dining Picnic’ today. Michelen star chef Derry Clarke of L’Ecrivain along with Kevin Hui of China Sichuan, Warren Massey of L’Gueuleton and Michelen star chef Ross Lewis of Chapter One will host the ultimate picnic banquet at The Picnic all in aid of the charity Console.

Console is the National Suicide Charity that supports people in suicidal crisis and those bereaved by suicide through professional counselling, support and helpline services.

All the money raised from the ‘Fine Dining Picnic’ will go straight to the charity. Here’s what’s on the menu…

Menu

Seats are limited, with a total of five sittings over the weekend, the first on Friday at 5.30pm and two on Saturday and Sunday at 1.30pm and 5.30pm with each sit down last around two hours, tickets are €120 and include a half bottle of wine.

If the menu and the good cause hasn’t enticed you enough already, you can go all James Bond and slip into a tuxedo for the dinner if you’re up for it. Overall, it will be one of the more special and unique festival experiences that you’ll ever have, see you there.
