Electric Picnic adds the Rubberbandits, David O’Doherty and the Trinity Orchestra to the bill

23 days to go…

JOE is counting the days, hours and minutes until Electric Picnic opens its gates and we make our annual mad dash sprint to put down the tent and enjoy the music.

The line-up for this years event already looks brilliant but there have been some new additions that have made us even more excited.

It looks like the comedy tent might have a few horses left outside because our favourite plastic-bag wearing, trout of no craic fearing and snail throwing comedians are back in Laois.

The tent will also see the return of hilarious Dublin comic and Electric Picnic alumni David O’Doherty along with Simon Amstell (he of Never Mind The Buzzcocks fame) and Brighton comic Seann Walsh.

If you fancy a break from having your ribs tickled then the wonderful Trinity Orchestra will also be playing.

Ireland’s only entirely student run orchestra will be making a return to Stradbally but this time they will be playing some of Gorillaz best songs.

If you haven’t seen them cover the likes of Arcade Fire, Daft Punk, Queen and more then you are in for a real treat.

Take a look.
