PIC: Gardaí share aerial photo of Electric Picnic that shows the sheer size of the festival

Electric Picnic

There are over 50,000 people in attendance.

Electric Picnic, Ireland’s biggest festival, only seems to grow each year — and drone photography is helping us capture the sheer size of the Stradbally music festival.

Earlier on, we shared an awesome photo of the crowd that gathered to see Dua Lipa deliver a performance that suggests she should be higher on the bill next time around.

Later this morning, the Gardaí shared a photo taken by the Garda Air Support Unit that encapsulates just how many festival-goers have converged on Laois this weekend.

Sadly, the definition doesn’t seem to be quite good enough that the Gardaí would be able to watch The Prodigy from their helicopters but it’s still a great photo.

The festival is now in its 14th year, and originally had an attendance of under 30,000.
