Electric Picnic line-up 2013 is pretty damn tasty

Hot on the heels of the Oxegen bill, here’s who will be strutting their stuff in Stradbally later this year.

Hot on the heels of the Oxegen bill, here’s who will be strutting their stuff in Stradbally later this year.

The 10th Electric Picnic Festival will take place in Stradbally from August 30 to September 1 and now we know who will be playing after a few rumours or two.

One that was incorrect was David Bowie, which is bad news for his many Irish fans. Others, like Nine Inch Nails and Queens of the Stone Age also proved false but the rest of the bill still looks pretty good to us.

Bjork, Arctic Monkeys, Fatboy Slim, Franz Ferdinand and Johnny Marr are the headline acts but a host of others are also headed our way.

Rising Irish stars The Strypes will be there too, as will Eels, Hurts, Tiga, Noah and the Whale and Ocean Colour Scene.

Here’s the bill released by the organisers just now.

Tickets go on sale on Saturday at 9am with a full weekend camping ticket costing €189.50. The good news is if you can prove you went to one previous Picnic the ticket price will be €169.50 and if you can prove you went to three or more the price is just €149.50. Good news for us regulars then… and after July 28, the weekend ticket will cost €229.50.

Here’s what the press release says about getting that sweet discount…

There are plenty of ways to show proof that you have attended the Picnic  over the years to name but a few ……… old wristbands, ticket stubs, official programmes, photographs which indicate different years attendance, screen shots of social media showing messages, travel receipts to festival or accommodation receipt dated…….. So contact the team above for any help with your ticket purchase.

Those discounted rates only apply until May 27 and in case you were wondering campervan tickets are €60.
