One to keep an eye on if you’re heading to Stradbally at the end of this month.

A brand new stage has been announced for this year’s Electric Picnic festival.

Three Ireland have announced that their new Made by Music stage will aim to showcase some of Ireland’s best rising talent, connecting fans to the future stars of Ireland’s flourishing music scene, set within the woodlands of Stradbally.

Another separate area is being described as “the perfect place to charge and chill”, where festival goers will be afforded the chance to relax and recharge their own batteries, as well as those on their phones, while exploring a range of different multisensory experiences.

The area will feature a hanging garden, hammocks and a unique recharge room designed to help relax both mind and body across the weekend.

Three have partnered with Lifesaver to provide a premium charging service, powered entirely by renewable energy. The pocket-sized power banks, charged with 100% renewable energy, offer an unlimited charging solution across the weekend. If the power runs out, customers can simply swap it for a full one.

DJs such as R.Kitt, Dreamcycles, Mel Keane, Nevan JIO and Jack Colleran will be behind the decks, spinning chilled-out tunes every day.

Speaking about the announcement, Aislinn O’Connor, Head of Brand and Marketing Communications, Three Ireland said: “We are really excited about bringing a brand-new stage to Electric Picnic. Made by Music is all about making connections through music while offering Irish talent the opportunity to reach a wider audience.

“Our new charge and chill area in the main arena will offer music fans the perfect place to unwind and recharge the batteries while remaining in the heart of the festival, right beside the main stage.”

The full Made by Music stage line up will be announced on 22 August.
