An emotional Eminem calls Mike Tyson “a god” while appearing on his podcast

Eminem Mike Tyson

The whole thing is a fascinating watch.

While we’re going to be spending quite a lot of time indoors over the next while, you might be looking for some long-form content to consume.

Enter Mike Tyson’s 46-minute interview of hip-hop legend Eminem.

They speak about both of their respective careers, race, family and everything in between in what is a really honest conversation.

From the start, the first question that Tyson asks Eminem is “Why did you become who you were?”, which completely sets the tone for how the rest of the interview goes.

Eminem quickly informs everyone in the room that they are interviewing Marshall Mathers, not Slim Shady and not Eminem.

He discusses the entire trajectory of his career, from a battle rapper growing up broke in Detroit to becoming an Oscar-winner and one of the best-selling artists of all time.

At one point, an emotional Eminem describes Tyson as “a god” to him, saying: “When I was younger, when you were first starting to really pop, I had heard about you… You are like a God to me”.
