Everything you need to know about bringing drink into Electric Picnic

These are the rules

Joe Harrington

These are the rules.

The feeling of uncertainty as you reach the security checkpoint at a festival when you’re not sure what the alcohol policy is can be terrifying.

You’ve spent your hard-earned cash on some beverages and you’re afraid they’ll be taken off you, it’s awful.

If you’re going to Electric Picnic this weekend and you’re unsure about what gets in and what doesn’t, we’ve put together this handy guide for you.

Campsite Rules:

  • Each individual camper is allowed bring 48 cans on site or a quantity of spirits for personal consumption only.
  • No glass is allowed on the site so put your drink into plastic bottles beforehand.

Arena Rules:

  • You can’t take drink into the main area while the bars are open (they close at 1am).
  • You can bring in sealed soft drink bottles (up to 500ml).
  • You’re allowed bring up to four cans of beer/cider into the main area after 1am (when the bars are closed).
  • The bars in the main and late areas serve beer, cider, cocktails, prosecco & wine.
  • Bring some form of ID because you may be asked to show it if you have a babyface.

We hope you’ve a great weekend and drink responsibly because you’re going to want to remember every minute of it.
