Creative Crime’s debut single, ‘Give Me Our Pain’, was released on May 9.
Most Irish people will recognise him from Love/Hate but there have been plenty of examples in recent years where John Connors has shown what an impressive performer he is in front of a camera.
Connors, who starred in the fascinating documentary America: Race Matters earlier this year, earned massive acclaim for his role in another documentary, I Am Traveller, in 2016 and he has spoken publicly about issues involving the travelling community on numerous occasions.
The music video for ‘Give Me Your Pain’ by Dublin based hip hop/dance duo Creative Crime (lyricist – God Creative, vocalist/producer - Crimes Against) sees Connors in his camp and amongst his community and explores the issue of traveller suicide, which is seven times higher than the national average.

Connors had been a huge fan of the song since its very early days, a song which was written by one half of Creative Crime, God Creative, late last year.
He was inspired to write on a personal level about mental health issues in society and the importance of reaching out to the ones that need your strength most in their darkest time.
Some of the lyrics in the song came about as a result of conversations between Connors and God Creative about the importance of having friends and family you can talk to and rely on being there if you're ever feeling down.
The music video launches officially on Monday, May 15 and the single is available to stream and download from Bandcamp, Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music and all other stores.
Creative Crime will host a launch party in Whelan’s (upstairs) On May 19 with support from Rebel Phoenix.
