FEATURE: 5 times famous musicians lost their sh*t live on stage (NSFW)

Colm Boohig

When the big stars got just a little grumpy.

There is nothing like seeing the best and brightest musicians absolutely ripping it up during a live performance… unless, of course, they suddenly lose their sh*t during the gig and blow their fuse.

That’s exactly what we’re looking at here; the times when iconic artists created infamous and unforgettable moments.

In no particular order…

Josh Homme – Queens of the Stone Age

The moment: 0:10

The reason: The QOTSA lead singer was already feeling a bit under the weather when his fuse was suddenly lit after a young fan threw something at him. The rest of the clip is straight up hard to watch.

Liam Gallagher – Oasis

The moment: 1:40

The reason: Liam came in too early in ‘Whatever’, causing Noel to point it out over the mic and Liam to sit out the rest of the song, as Noel brought it home, much to the crowd’s amusement.

John Frusciante – The Red Hot Chili Peppers

The moment: 0:15

The reason: Frusciante is believed to have sabotaged this Saturday Night Live performance of ‘Under The Bridge’ because of in-band tensions. He deliberately played out of time and off-key, much to the visible bemusement and bewilderment of lead singer Anthony Kiedis, who discussed the incident in his autobiography.

Axl Rose – Guns N’ Roses

The moment: 0:08

The reason: Axl has been known to, let’s say, take matters into his own hands over the years, especially when an audience member is in possession of something that Rose doesn’t like. If that happens, you can bet your bottom dollar that the experienced front man will literally jump into the crowd to sort out the situation.

Elton John

The moment: 0:15

The reason: The security guards wouldn’t sit the f*ck down, that’s why. Elton, who can be notoriously spikey on stage, wasn’t happy with their positioning and let them know in no uncertain terms.
