WATCH: Fontaines D.C. perform two hit songs on Jimmy Fallon show

Rudi Kinsella

Fontaines D.C. performed two songs from their recent album on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night.

Fontaines D.C. are an independent punk rock band that hail from Dublin, and they are having a bit of an incredible 2019 so far.

Their album Dogrel was released in April, and it has received rave reviews left, right and centre.

And even though they are already going from strength to strength, you’d have to say that their recent appearance on Fallon is a particularly big moment in their career.

The punk band made their American television debut with a major appearance on Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday evening.

Performing ‘Liberty Belle’ and ‘Boys in the Better Land’ from their new album, the band confidently rocked the stage on one of the biggest late-night TV shows in the world.

A fine achievement. Take a look:

Less than two weeks ago, the band secured number four in the Irish Album Charts and number nine in the UK Album Charts, so it really is safe to say that the band is on the rise.

Fair play to them.
