And it’s absolutely free if you’re planning on heading along…

Popular troubadour Gavin James has joined the line-up for an open-air concert that will take place at the National Museum of Ireland’s Collins Barracks next weekend.

James will pay tribute to late Cranberries icon Dolores O’Riordan with a performance of the band’s hit song ‘Linger’, and he’ll be in good company on the night.

Also set to take to the stage are Villagers, Mick Flannery, Amanda Coogan, Mango x Mathman, members of Horslips, Paul Muldoon, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Stefanie Preissner and the RTÈ Concert Orchestra.

It’s all in aid of Culture Night; a free two-hour showcase of music, theatre, comedy and poetry that goes down next Friday 21 September.

The concert will be presented by Sean Rocks and broadcast live on RTÉ Radio 1’s Arena from 8pm – 10pm and streamed live on rte.ie/culture.

No tickets are required and free transport will be provided by Dublin Bus.

Dublin Bus will run free buses every 20 minutes from Dublin City Centre (Aston Quay, USIT Office) to the National Museum of Ireland Collins Barracks (Route C) from 6-11pm.

The LUAS (Red Line) will also stop at the National Museum on the night.

For more information, check out the official Culture Night website.
