Carl Kinsella

The Gloaming

This WILL sell out.

Since their formation in 2011, The Gloaming have sold out an unprecedented 24 consecutive concerts at Ireland’s National Concert Hall. They might even be the seminal Dublin venue’s favourite act.

Now, the experimental Celtic/trad/genre-bending act could be set to sell out seven more.

The band -fiddle player Martin Hayes, guitarist Dennis Cahill, vocalist Iarla Ó Lionáird, fiddle player Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh, and pianist and producer Thomas Bartlett – has announced a run of exclusive residency shows at the National Concert Hall in Dublin.

The concerts will take place on 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10 & 11 March of next year.

Tickets go on sale Friday 19 October at 10am from the National Concert Hall itself.

The band has released two albums so far — The Gloaming and The Gloaming 2 — and expect to release their third full-length record in early 2019.

Tickets for the shows will go on sale on Friday, October 19. They’ll be available from €45 from the www.nch.ie or the National Concert Hall Box office 01 4170000.

Here’s a taste of the band’s most recent residency on Earlsfort Terrace.
