If you’re going to the festival, you need to download this app.
Almost everything about Electric Picnic is absolutely wonderful. From the music, to the craic, to the late night story-telling… it’s all wonderful.
But there’s one really annoying thing that’s guaranteed to happen to a good portion of festival-goers every single year. Yep, you guessed it, it’s losing your mates and not being able to find them because of a terrible phone signal.
Thankfully, there’s now an app which should help you if this problem arises. Download and sign-up to the Electric Picnic app here and get your mates to do the same.
You’ll then be able to connect to the 17 Bluetooth beacons around the site.
When you and your friends sign in with Facebook, you can then find each other with those beacons.
Using this app, you can request a message be sent to your friends, which will send a push message whether they are on Android or iPhone. You can also allow your friends to see the last beacon where you were seen at and what time that was.
Pretty nifty and definitely a must for all festival-goers.
