Guess what, U2 are coming back to Ireland for a tour

Great news

JOE

Nice one.

Bono has told Mark Turin that gigs for the Innocence and Experience show will start touring Ireland in November.

“We are coming home… it was really hard to figure out a way of doing it, but we just had to make it happen,” the front man told The Irish Times.

Where they will be playing has not yet been released but the exact dates and venues will be revealed this Wednesday.

The problem for the band with playing in Ireland was that the current stage configuration of the current tour was not compatible with any Irish venue.

“We found a way to reformat the show, to literally rebuild it for the Irish shows,” Bono said. “It got to the stage where we just had to tell our people “You have to make this happen, you have to make this work, this is where we are from and we have to bring the tour home.”

The tour, which was supposed to finish in Paris on November 15, has been extended to allow for these Irish dates.

“I am so happy we are bringing this home,” adds Bono. “These Irish shows will be like an Irish wedding. It is always tricky planning a wedding – who sits besides who could ruin it!”
