2FM Christmas Ball

A big year for the Wicklow native.

Hozier has been announced as the headline act for the annual 2FM Xmas Ball in aid of The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC), which will take place at 3Arena on Friday, 14 December.

Last year’s event raised over €480,000 for children in need and this year they’re trying to make the event bigger and better than ever.

Andrew Hozier Byrne will be joined by Walking On Cars, Keywest, Wyvern Lingo, Chasing Abbey, Wild Youth and Brave Giant, who will all be performing live on the night.

The ball will be hosted by 2FM presenters Nicky Byrne, Jenny Greene, Eoghan McDermott, Bernard O’Shea, Jennifer Zamparelli, Keith Walsh, Tracy Clifford and more.

Tickets – proceeds of which go directly to the ISPCC – go on sale at 9am on Wednesday, September 26 for €39.50 apiece.

They can be purchased at Ticketmaster outlets nationwide, online or via the 24-hour hotline: 0818 719 300.

According to 2FM, all parties involved with the 2FM Xmas Ball are providing their services free of charge on the night including artists, organisers and the 3Arena.

The complete funding of the concert goes towards the financial support and aid of the 24-hour phone-line and the ISPCC services dedicated to helping children.

“Once again the ISPCC Childline is indebted to the amazing musicians who are giving up their time to perform at The 2FM Xmas Ball in aid of the ISPCC,”  said Caroline Downey, President of The ISPCC and producer of the 2FM Xmas Ball.

“We are truly privileged to have their support along with 2FM, the team in MCD and the 3Arena. We will continue to help children all over Ireland who use the services of the ISPCC and Childline and we will never give up on a child. Ever.”
