Tá go leor daoine croíbhriste.  An Irish language festival which was due to take place in Dublin this summer has been cancelled due to a lack of ticket sales and other contributing factors. Earlier this week, the team behind Raveloid released a video explaining that they needed to sell another 500 tickets in order for the gig to go ahead. A post from Raveloid’s official page explained that the event has been postponed "due to a number of production factors.” “The goodwill shown to Ravelóid among the general public, especially over the last few weeks, both nationally and internationally, has proven that there is a strong demand for a contemporary Irish language music festival.  The Board will be working in the coming months on an alternative date.” People have expressed their disappointed at the news via Twitter. https://twitter.com/AnGhaeilgeAbu/status/730407141140500482 https://twitter.com/jimmydeeie/status/730402183125020672 https://twitter.com/comairtin/status/730406216023838721 https://twitter.com/edsongsofpraise/status/730400103178063872 Here's hoping that the festival will be back on the cards in 2017.
