Ja Rule seems determined to make Fyre Festival 2.0 happen

Ja Rule Fyre Festival

What could possibly go wrong?

Despite not happening almost two years ago, the legendary Fyre Festival continues to burn.

There has been much fresh fallout since the release of two documentaries on the subject last month – catch up on just about everything right here – and it seems people just can’t enough.

So with that in mind, why not give the whole thing another go?

That’s what Ja Rule thinks, anyway.

Speaking with TMZ in one of those ‘send a cameraman to bother someone at the airport’ interviews, the 42-year-old claimed that he has yet to watch either documentary.

“I lived it man, I ain’t gotta watch it,” he noted.

“It’s not funny to me, man. It’s heartbreaking to me. It was something that I really, really wanted to be special and amazing and it just didn’t turn out that way,

“But, you know, in the midst of chaos there’s opportunity. And so I’m working on a lot of new things.”

The rapper went on to highlight his new artist-friendly platform, which he thinks has real value. As for trying to do Fyre Festival again…

“It is the most iconic festival that never was,” he admitted. “I have plans to make the iconic music festival, but you didn’t hear it from me.”

A far cry from feeling hustled, scammed, bamboozled, hoodwinked and led astray, anyway.

Might not be the best idea, but if anyone can make this happen, it’s definitely Ja Rule.
