The White Stripes star will be pleased with this milestone…

Jack White’s new solo album Lazaretto has become the biggest-selling vinyl album in 20 years after selling 60,000 copies since its release on June 10th.

It’s White’s second solo release and it has beaten the record previously held by Pearl Jam’s 1994 album Vitalogy.

White’s album also sold 40,000 copies in its first week meaning it’s the fastest-selling vinyl album since Nielsen Soundscan began recording vinyl sales figures in 1991. Lazaretto has gone Gold in America after reaching number one on the US albums chart.

Hat-tip to NME.
