Breakfast Republic is no more.

Doireann Garrihy and Eoghan McDermott will be taking taking over the breakfast show on 2FM, replacing Breakfast Republic with Bernard O’Shea, Keith Walsh & Jennifer Zamparelli.

McDermott is already a presenter on the station and he’ll be joined on the new show by the vastly experienced Doireann Garrihy who has worked at SPIN 1038 and Today FM – the pair have previously worked together on air and their new show will air from 6am to 9am.

As previously announced, Zamparelli will be hosting her own morning programme, weekdays from 9am – 12pm, as part of the new schedule line up.

Breakfast Republic presenter Keith Walsh will move to the weekends to present his own show, while Lottie Ryan will fill the weekday entertainment slot.

Bernard O’Shea will leave the station to work on TV projects.

Jenny Greene will be returning to the station to present Drive. The popular DJ had previously hosted mid-mornings with Nicky Byrne.

A few weeks ago, Greene announced that she was leaving RTÉ 2FM after 12 years working at the radio station, however, her return is bound to please a lot of people.

Elsewhere, Tracy Clifford will move to 12 noon for a three hour show.
