Dublin instrumental trio Alarmist have been crafting beautiful sonic landscapes for a few years now, generally raising their game with each new release.
Patient, probing and inventive, an Alarmist track is really more of an experimental wandering, the kind of delicately assembled yet often daring adventure that ought to feature on the soundtrack to a great film, particularly one set in a strange far away futurist world.
Released earlier this month, latest album Sequesterer expands the group’s frequencies and really is a must for anyone who’s had enough of the charts for a day or two.
‘Life In Half Time’ is a perfect encapsulation of a record that strolls its own determined path, one scored by a ‘Frank Ocean meets Blade Runner’ lilt.
