Beach Slang are a punk band from Philadelphia making their Irish debut. Expect things to be loud as they attempt to take the roof off the Workmans Club this Monday evening.

Who: Mary Chapin Carpenter

Where: Olympia Theatre, Dublin

Mary Chapin Carpenter has won no fewer than 5 Grammy Awards for her music. She won Best Country Vocal Performance for four consecutive years in the 90s.

Although uneasy at being labelled just as a country artist, it is this genre which has garnered her the most success. She’s got a big fanbase and the Olympia will be buzzing in appreciation of her undoubted talents.

Tinchy Stryder, er, strides into Limerick for a night of banging hip-hop and feelgood tunes. The London born rapper descends upon the city of Limerick for what promises to be a great night at The Library.

Where: The Limelight, Belfast

The godfathers of ambient house are still being ambient and still being relevant. Formed way back in the late 80s by Alex Paterson and The KLF member Jimmy Cauty, they’ve had unprecedented success over the last couple of decades.

They bring their ambience and slick grooves to Belfast for what promises to be a night to remember at The Limelight.

American bluegrass group from North Carolina, Chatham County Line will be in Whelans this Saturday night for an evening of seriously good music. This is a band whose natural habitat is in a live setting so brace yourselves for a great night.

Following from 2016’s series of gigs, Jameson Bow St Sessions are back on January 26th 2017! Presented by Jameson and supported by Hot Press, Bow St Sessions are a series of unique live shows that celebrate unexpected and original collaborations in Irish music. Bow St Sessions returns to Dublin, to the intimate surroundings of The Sugar Club. The line-up will see three bands who have made a serious mark on the Irish music scene over the last year – Booka Brass, Barq and Soulé.

Your evening will start at the Generator Hostel for pizza and a whiskey tasting, before you set off for the Sugar Club to spend the night taking in some of the country’s finest bands. To top it off, we’ve got accommodation at the Generator when the night is over.
