Eric Lalor

The best of the live music gigs in Ireland this week.

Who: Bryan Adams
When: May 10
Where: 3Arena, Dublin

Veteran Canadian rocker Bryan Adams is back in town for a show at the 3Arena. The man with a penchant for denim and catchy rock anthems will be belting out the classics to a packed house of adoring fans.

Who: Little Green Cars
When: May 12
Where: Seapoint Ballroom, Galway

Dublin indie outfit Little Green Cars are getting bigger all the time. Having made inroads into America and Britain, the band from Dublin seem to be on the cusp of something huge.

The Seapoint Ballroom in Galway is a beautifully nostalgic buidling and the perfect backdrop to what promises to be a brilliant gig.

Who: HamsandwicH
When: May 13
Where: The Academy, Dublin

We are big fans of Irish band Hamsandwich. They’re bloody good at what they do and they match their talents with all-round soundness.

Their live shows are rarely anything other than spectacular so we expect this will be same.

Who: Jerry Fish
When: May 13
Where: Kavanaghs, Portlaoise

Jerry Fish is a legend of the Irish music scene. Whether is was his involvement in An Emotional Fish or with his band the Mudbug Club, Jerry Fish always puts on a show.

He plays at the wonderfully intimate venue of Kavanagh’s in Portlaoise this Friday and you’d be nuts to miss it.
